OCD Uncovered: Effective Therapies for Management and Recovery with Aliza Goldstein Psy.D
Today, we're diving deep into the world of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, or OCD, exploring not just the challenges it presents, but also the most effective treatments that bring real change. Joining me is Dr. Aliza Goldstein, a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in treating anxiety disorders and OCD. She brings her extensive experience and a wealth of knowledge to illuminate the often-misunderstood aspects of OCD.
In this Podcourse, we will unpack everything from the basics of OCD to advanced treatment strategies. You'll learn about the true nature of OCD, the principles of Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy, and how Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) enhances ERP's effectiveness. We'll also discuss why traditional therapies like CBT might not always be the best approach for treating OCD.
