About Lisa Mustard | Continuing Education for Therapists | Licensed Therapist & Coach

Hi, I’m Lisa Mustard.

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in South Carolina. I’m also a wife to Billy, mom to two daughters, puppy wrangler, fitness enthusiast, and lifelong student of personal growth and well-being.

When I turned 40, I had a wake-up call.

On paper, my life and career looked successful — but inside, I felt stuck and unfulfilled. I was going through the motions, professionally and personally, and I knew something needed to change. I didn’t have a clear roadmap, so I started experimenting. I tested ideas, explored new opportunities, and allowed myself to pivot. Some things didn’t work. Others changed everything.

What I learned during that season continues to shape my work today:

When my work aligns with my values, it feels meaningful, energizing, and sustainable.
Failure isn’t a dead end — it’s feedback. Growth comes from trying, learning, and adjusting.
Flexibility in how we move forward matters, as long as we stay clear about where we’re going.

Those lessons led me to my current work as a licensed therapist and continuing education provider.

I design flexible, on-the-go continuing education for therapists and counselors who want high-quality learning without adding more screen time to their already full lives. My audio-based CE courses, Podcourses, allow clinicians to learn anytime, anywhere — on a walk, at the gym, during a commute, or while making dinner. These courses feature practical insights from experienced clinicians and subject-matter experts and are created to support both professional competence and sustainable growth.

What I Do

I create accessible, audio-based continuing education aka Podcourses for therapists and counselors who want learning that fits into real life.

I also administer on-demand continuing education for clinicians who want to offer CE contact hours without navigating NBCC applications, compliance requirements, and ongoing administrative paperwork. I manage the behind-the-scenes systems so course creators can focus on teaching and sharing their expertise.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer therapy or coaching?

I offer coaching services through a non-clinical coaching model. Coaching services are not psychotherapy and are not provided under an LMFT-client therapy relationship.

I maintain a very small caseload and offer support for spouses, adult children, parents, and family members impacted by white-collar criminal charges, investigations, incarceration, or public legal crises.

When someone you love is accused, investigated, charged, or convicted, the entire family can be affected. You may be dealing with shock, shame, anger, fear, financial uncertainty, relationship strain, secrecy, grief, or the sudden collapse of the life you thought you knew.

As both a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the daughter of someone involved in a white-collar criminal case, I understand how lonely, confusing, and identity-shaking this experience can be.

My work is best suited for individuals who want a private, compassionate place to process what has happened, make sense of complicated emotions, and begin rebuilding stability, identity, and trust in themselves.

I do not provide legal advice, and my role is separate from the legal case. My focus is on the emotional and relational impact of the crisis on you and your family.

I do not accept health insurance. Learn more here.

What makes your CE courses different?

My courses are designed for real life. Many are audio-based and on-demand, allowing clinicians to earn CE contact hours without sitting through long, screen-heavy trainings. I call these audio-based courses Podcourses. You can see them all here. My Podcourses are one of the best values out there for continuing education.
