Today's episode is all about adoption. Jill Corrigan is a Licensed Independent Social Worker and Supervisor who has been in practice for over 20 years in the areas of adoption, mental health and traumatic brain injury.  She has also testified in court on adoption related matters, taught in the graduate level to masters level social work candidates, has presented both domestically and internationally and is viewed as a expert in adoption.

Jill covers 4 main objectives:

• Identify and illustrate the different types of adoption.
• Summarize and describe the stages of the adoption process.
• List and describe ways to support the family and the adopted child as licensed clinicians.
• Discuss and recognize the benefits of adoption for children and families.
